Sep 06, 2010 MLA format calls for consistent double spacing throughout the essay from your name in the left side heading all the way to the end of the Works Cited page (if there is one). This means no extra spaces in between paragraphs or above or below the title.
You can use the Help menu in Word and choose Send Feedback to display the suggestion form to ask that Microsoft include MLA Version 7 in the next version of Word, whenever it comes out.
But waiting is silly. Word has a built-in programming language called Visual Basic for Applications, which gives developers the ability to extend Word's capabilities without having to wait around for Microsoft to modify Microsoft Word.
I know of three applications that already exist that support MLA Version 7 citations in Microsoft Word for Mac. They are

If all you need is citation support, then Zotero and Mendelay are both fully capable of handling your needs, and both of them are free. EndNote also supports MLA version 7, but it has a whole host of additional features and is not free.

In my opinion Zotero, Mendelay, and EndNote are all far superior to the built-in Citation Manager in Word. I think you'd be far better off installing one of these three products and forget about the Word citation manager altogether.
